Six Flags Walk In The Park: September 7, 2008

This September, Six Flags Friends, the philanthropic arm of Six Flags Inc., and Cure Kids Cancer will join forces to raise public awareness and funding for childhood cancers. By participating in “A Walk In The Park,” you will be joining thousands of other Six Flags Guests from all across the United States who will be walking to help find cures for childhood cancers. We need your help to reach our goal of raising $70,000 at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Come take a “Walk In The Park” and help us find cures for pediatric cancer. Registration opens at Six Flags in Vallejo at 7:00 a.m.; the walk begins at 8:00 a.m.; closing ceremonies begin at 9:00 a.m.. Swim Across America SF Bay Swim: October 18, 2008

Children's Hospital Oakland and Swim Across America are teaming up for the month of September to swim towards a cure for Cancer. Swim Across America, Inc., (SAA) raises money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming-related events. The SAA 1.5 mile San Francisco Bay swim is October 18th. Supporters who prefer fresh water will also be logging distance throughout the month of September in pools and lakes. A portion of all proceeds will go directly to support research activities here at Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute. Form your team, get sponsors and start swimming!
